What is Crosswordle?
Crosswordle is a word puzzle that asks you to guess two crossing words simultaneously. Each guess must be a valid word, and the feedback uses three colors: green for correct letters in the correct position, yellow for correct letters in the wrong position, and orange for letters that belong to the other word at the crossing point. The two answers are thematically related.
How to play Crosswordle
- Enter a valid word in each position using the on-screen keyboard.
- Press Enter to submit your guess, or Erase to fix a mistake.
- Read the three-color feedback: green means the letter is correct and in the correct position; yellow means the letter is in the word but in the wrong position; orange means the letter belongs in the other word.
- Count the lit tiles for each letter. If the answer contains one S, only one S in your guess will light up.
- Use the connection between the two words to refine your next guess, especially when an orange tile shows that a letter belongs to the other word.
- Continue until you solve both words or reach the outcome screen.
Orange feedback is unique to Crosswordle. Instead of reasoning about one word in isolation, you must track letters across both words. A letter marked orange does not need repositioning within its word—it needs to move to the other word entirely. This mechanic, combined with the semantic relationship between the answers, turns the puzzle into a two-layer riddle where pattern recognition and vocabulary intersect.
Reading duplicate letters correctly
The game enforces a strict duplicate rule: if the answer contains only one occurrence of a letter, only one tile will light up in your guess, even if you entered that letter twice. The help panel provides worked examples of this logic. Two end screens exist: Victory and Better luck next time.

Tips for solving faster
