What is Drawdle?
Drawdle is a daily pixel art reconstruction puzzle that uses Wordle-style color feedback. Each day presents a six-row grid. For each row you must find a five-letter word whose green, yellow, and grey letter coloring matches that row's pattern. The grid is built from yesterday's Wordle answer, so playing never spoils today's Wordle puzzle.
How to play Drawdle
- Open the daily grid and inspect its six rows of colored squares.
- Choose a row and enter a five-letter word whose Wordle colors match the row: green, yellow, and gray.
- Submit the word. If the colors match, the row is marked solved.
- Repeat the process for the other five rows.
- When all six rows are complete, view the pixel-art image and choose an option such as replaying or sharing it.
Why the puzzle uses yesterday’s answer
Drawdle grids use the previous day’s Wordle solution, so you can play Drawdle after finishing Wordle without spoiling that day’s answer.
When a guess matches a row's required coloring, the interface shows confirmation such as "Match! Row solved." Completing all six rows triggers a completion message like "Well done!" and offers options to view the result, replay, or share. The site also displays notices like "No compatible drawing today" when a grid cannot be played.
Account and syncing
No account is required to play. Signing in is optional and used to sync streaks, stats, and themes across devices. It also lets you suggest drawings under your name. Progress is saved locally in the browser when you play without an account.
Tips for solving rows
Use the site-provided controls and watch for interface messages. Right-clicking erases when editing a suggested drawing. Focus on matching the exact color pattern for each row rather than searching for thematic words. Because each row is independent, you can solve them in any order.
