What is Letter Flick?

Letter Flick is a daily word-physics puzzle played in a browser. You flick letter tiles on a 7x7 board so they knock other tiles off the grid and into a word bar. The game provides color-coded feedback for each placed letter and offers practice puzzles before the daily challenge.

How to play Letter Flick

  1. Tap or drag a letter tile and flick it in any direction. The tile slides until it hits another tile or the board edge.
  2. When a moving tile collides with another tile, the hit tile flies off the board into the word bar. The flicked tile stays on the grid.
  3. A flick requires at least one empty cell between the flicked tile and the tile it will knock. Without that gap, the move has no momentum.
  4. Each tile that lands in the word bar receives a color hint: Blue (correct letter, correct move), Orange (correct letter, wrong move), or Grey (wrong letter and move).
  5. Use the limited undos shown on screen to rewind mistaken flicks.
  6. Finish when the word bar is entirely blue. One letter remains on the board after completion.

Reading the feedback

Blue means the correct letter placed by the correct flick. Orange means the letter belongs in that slot but you used the wrong tile or flick path. Grey means both the letter and the move are incorrect. The objective is to turn the entire word bar blue using the fewest moves and available undos.

Modes

Daily puzzle
One new puzzle unlocks each local midnight. Once you complete the daily puzzle, it cannot be replayed.

Practice / Warm Up
Practice puzzles and a Warm Up mode teach flick mechanics, momentum rules, and combo shots. Use these to learn before attempting the daily challenge.

Tips for cleaner flicks

Use combination shots. A moving tile can transfer momentum through intermediate tiles so a third tile flies off the board. This lets you reach letters that are not directly adjacent to edges.

Remember the tile you flick usually stays on the board. The tile that gets knocked off is what goes into the word bar. Plan your flick paths to deliver the correct letters in the correct order.

Ensure at least one empty cell sits between the flicked tile and the tile you want to knock. Without that gap, the flick will not generate momentum.

You have a limited number of undos. The interface displays how many remain. Use them to rewind mistaken flicks rather than starting over.

Popular questions

How are moves checked?

Each letter in the word bar is color-coded. Blue means the letter and its position are correct. Orange means the letter is correct but in the wrong position. Grey means both are incorrect.
