What is linqed?
linqed is a two-stage daily puzzle that combines general knowledge with word association. You answer four trivia questions, then identify the single word that links all four answers together. The game presents this structure visually on its title screen: four answer boxes arranged in an X pattern, each connected by lines to a central box labeled LINK.
How to play linqed
- Choose Play on the title screen, or toggle Hard Mode first if you want no feedback until the end.
- Answer the four general-knowledge questions. Each question is a clue, not an end goal.
- Type the single word that connects all four answers in the input field.
- Share your result once you have found the link word.
Why the link word matters
Knowing all four answers is not enough. You have to consider them together and find the one word that connects them. The move from recalling facts to thinking laterally happens in a single input field. General knowledge gives you the raw material for the puzzle; the challenge is seeing how it fits together.
Hard Mode and feedback
Normal mode gives you feedback as you answer each question. According to the switch on the title screen, Hard Mode withholds all feedback until the end. Choose normal mode for a first attempt at an unfamiliar theme. Save Hard Mode for days when you want to solve the puzzle without hints.
Modes and access
The daily puzzle appears every day with a date and number. Once you complete it, the archive opens and lets you catch up on any missed day. Hard Mode is a switch on the title screen rather than a separate puzzle type.
