What is Omitten?
Omitten presents a single sentence with one missing word marked by [ _ ]. The page displays the current date and a points counter above the sentence frame. A text field accepts your answer, and a button labeled "Next Clue (75 pts)" reveals an additional sentence for fewer points.
How to play Omitten
- Read the sentence in the frame. The gap [ _ ] marks exactly where the missing word belongs.
- Type your answer into the "Type your guess..." field.
- Click Submit Guess to check your answer.
- If you need more context, click Next Clue. The button shows 75 pts while the header counter displays 100 pts.
Why play Omitten?
Omitten removes tiles, on-screen keyboards, and color feedback. The entire interface is a sentence and a text field. The game rewards reading comprehension rather than letter combination. You must decide whether the visible sentence gives enough information or whether the hint is worth the point cost before you commit.
Reading the feedback
The page displays two numbers: a points counter beneath the date and the amount shown on the hint button. No other visual cues appear during play.

Core play

Tips for a stronger guess

Both numbers are visible before you click, but the interface does not state what the clue actually costs in relation to those two values. Check both displays and decide whether the first sentence is enough before spending points on the second.
