What is Poople?
Poople is a free daily word ladder game. You start with a 4-letter word and change one letter at a time until you reach POOP. Every intermediate word must be a real 4-letter word, and fewer steps produce a better score. A new shared puzzle appears each day at 08:00 UTC.
How to play Poople
- Note the starting 4-letter word shown for the day.
- Enter a new 4-letter word that differs from the previous one by exactly one letter.
- Confirm the word is valid; invalid entries are rejected.
- Continue changing one letter at a time until the word becomes POOP.
- Compare your step count against par (the shortest possible path). Match or beat par for the best result.
Scoring and modes
Your score depends on the number of steps taken. Extra steps above par lower the result. The daily puzzle is shared by everyone and resets at 08:00 UTC. After finishing it, Unlimited mode offers random practice ladders that do not affect streaks or stats.
Tips
Focus on words that stay connected to common 4-letter neighbors rather than forcing a direct approach to POOP. Results can be shared as a spoiler-free grid. Stats and streaks remain stored locally in the browser; no account is required.
