What is Sedecordle?
Sedecordle is a word puzzle that places sixteen five-letter grids on one page and gives you 21 attempts to solve all of them. Each guess you type appears in all sixteen grids at once, colored differently in each according to that grid's hidden word. A numbered index from 1 to 16 lets you navigate between grids while a counter tracks your remaining attempts.
How to play Sedecordle
- Type a five-letter word using the on-screen keyboard and submit it.
- Watch it appear simultaneously in all sixteen grids, each applying its own color feedback.
- Use the numbered index to jump between grids and review how your guess was colored in each.
- Repeat until you solve all sixteen words or exhaust your 21 attempts.
Why the challenge differs from standard Wordle
The shared attempt pool changes the strategy. A single guess must serve as a probe across sixteen solutions instead of targeting just one. Cross-reading becomes essential because the same word reveals different information in each grid. With 21 attempts for sixteen targets, efficient use of feedback matters as much as vocabulary.
Reading the feedback
Each grid uses standard coloring independently. Green marks a correct letter in the correct position, gold indicates a correct letter in the wrong position, and dark gray shows letters that do not appear in that word. The same guess can appear green in one grid and gold in another, which is the core mechanic of the side-by-side layout. The attempt counter in the top right decreases by one after each submission.

Tips for solving sixteen grids efficiently
Start with words that test common letters across all grids. Each guess should serve as a global probe before targeting a specific solution.
Use the numbered index after each guess. Focus on the grids where your word produced the most green or gold feedback, then tailor your next word to those patterns.
Once a grid is complete, ignore it and concentrate your remaining guesses on the unsolved grids.
Common questions
Does a guess count for only one grid?
No. It is entered into all sixteen grids at once, and each grid colors it according to its own hidden word.
Are my attempts saved if I come back later?
Yes. The browser stores your progress for the current daily puzzle, allowing you to resume where you left off.
