What is Word500?
Word500 is a word game designed for experienced players. Each row displays five letter tiles followed by three colored feedback tiles: green, yellow, and red. The virtual keyboard includes a space bar, lightbulb icon, validation checkmark, and erase key. During testing, a consent panel blocked input from reaching the board, preventing actual gameplay verification.
How to play Word500
- Dismiss the consent panel that appears over the grid on load. Input cannot reach the board while the panel is active.
- Type a five-letter word using the virtual keyboard.
- Validate your guess by tapping the checkmark icon located to the right of the space bar.
Reading the feedback tiles
Word500 groups its three feedback tiles at the end of each row rather than coloring individual letters. Each row ends with a green, yellow, and red tile. This arrangement keeps feedback information consolidated instead of distributed across the word. The exact meaning of each color was not confirmed during testing because the consent panel prevented guess submission.
Available modes
The game offers a daily puzzle accessible through the mode=daily URL parameter. A custom puzzle creation section appears on the page but was not tested during verification.
Why the consent panel blocks input
The consent panel opens on top of the board when the page loads and intercepts all keyboard input. Letters typed while the panel is visible do not register on the grid. Close or accept the panel before attempting to play. This is the most common obstacle for new players.
