What is Wordtrak?
Wordtrak is a daily word-scoring game built around a railway metaphor. Five numbered tracks of increasing length (from four to seven squares) stretch across the board, each marked with bonus multipliers labeled 2L or 3L. You draw from a seven-letter rack, place tiles on any track in any order, and chase the day's top score displayed on the home screen alongside its author's username.
How to play Wordtrak
- Open the daily game from the home screen via PLAY DAILY. The banner shows the game number, date, and a score counter starting at 0 PTS.
- Select one of the five numbered tracks. They can be played in any order, and each has its own length.
- Compose a word by taking letters from the seven-tile rack. Each tile displays its point value in the corner.
- Position high-value letters on the track's bonus squares, which have olive backgrounds and show either 2L or 3L.
- Confirm with SEND. The board also offers SHUFFLE, PASS, and a SWAP link with a counter in parentheses.
Why play Wordtrak?
Wordtrak rewards placement strategy over vocabulary breadth. You work with seven valued tiles, scattered multipliers, five tracks of different lengths, and the freedom to decide which track receives which draw. The home screen displays the day's top score and username before you place a single letter, giving you a clear target.
Reading the feedback
Feedback is purely numerical. Each track carries a dash to its right, and the banner counter begins at 0 PTS. Bonus squares stand out with olive backgrounds and multiplier labels, while ordinary squares remain beige. The home screen shows the day's top score and its author even before play begins.
Modes
Daily game
A numbered, dated grid accessed via PLAY DAILY from the home screen. The menu adds Leaderboard and Stats pages.
Tips & strategy
Letter values do not follow standard conventions. On one rack, G, C, P, and Y were worth 5 points, while two A tiles and an R were worth 2. Check the values before building your word.
Bonus squares vary between tracks. On one board, the third track had two 2L squares, while the fourth ended with a single 3L square.
You can play the tracks in any order, so save the seven-square line for a draw that makes good use of it instead of playing it first by default.
Do you need an account to play Wordtrak?
No. The daily game opens without signing in. A SIGN IN link stays at the top of the board, and the home menu includes a leaderboard and statistics.
Do the five tracks have to be played in order?
No. The welcome note says you can play the tracks in any order.
Is there a keyboard to type words?
No. Choose letters one at a time from the seven-tile rack below the tracks.
