What is AtomixQuest?
AtomixQuest is a periodic table comparison game. Each round displays a question about a chemical property and six element cards showing atomic number, symbol, and name. You select the element that matches the extreme requested: highest value, lowest value, or an exact target. The interface uses a terminal-style monospaced font on a green-and-black background, and results are tracked on a leaderboard.
How to play AtomixQuest
- Start the daily challenge from the PLAY button on the Daily puzzle card.
- Read the question and the unit definition displayed below it in italics.
- Compare the six element cards, using the atomic number, symbol, and name shown on each.
- Tap the card that answers the question posed.
- Move to the next question after receiving feedback, or complete the Weekly Survival mode within ten lives.
Weekly Survival mode adds pressure
Weekly Survival gives you one attempt per week, resetting every Wednesday. You begin with ten lives. Each wrong answer costs one life, and each timeout costs one life as well. The mode cannot be replayed until the next reset, so warm up on the daily challenge before spending your weekly attempt.
Reading the question correctly
The italic line beneath each question defines the unit and explains what is being measured. Skipping this note can lead to confusion between properties that increase down a column and those that increase up it. The question itself names the property and specifies whether you are looking for the highest, lowest, or exact value among the six options.
Tips for consistent answers
Use the atomic number printed at the top left of each card. Many properties follow trends across the periodic table rather than requiring memorized values. Position in the table often tells you more than the symbol alone.
Read the unit definition every time. Even familiar properties can be measured in different ways, and the note clarifies which scale the question uses.
Take a moment before tapping. The game penalizes both errors and timeouts in Weekly Survival, so a deliberate choice is better than a rushed guess.
Account and leaderboard
The daily puzzle opens without signing in. The top bar includes My profile, Leaderboard, and Leagues, which track progress and compare results with other players. Keeping the game in the same browser retains locally stored progress.
