What is Bandle?
Bandle is a music guessing game where you identify songs from individual instruments. Each round begins with a single isolated instrument, and every incorrect guess or skip adds another layer until the full arrangement plays. The goal is to name the track before all instruments are revealed.
How to play Bandle
- Listen to the opening clip featuring one instrument.
- Type your guess or tap Skip to add the next instrument.
- Try to solve the puzzle using as few instruments as possible—fewer layers mean a better score.
- Configure your preferred hints in Settings: year, genre, difficulty, instrument list, view count, or stream count.
- Compare your result against the song's par score to see whether you beat the expected performance.
Why Bandle differs from other music games
Heardle extended the same audio clip with each skip. Bandle adds instruments instead, shifting the challenge from melody recognition to arrangement analysis. You must identify a song from its separate parts rather than from a recognizable hook or vocal line. Players with band experience or instrumental training often perform better on sparse early clips, while those who focus on vocals may find the first layers harder to place. The catalog includes over two thousand songs, with themed packs covering decades, genres, soundtracks, and regional collections available as paid content beyond the free daily puzzle.

Tips for a stronger score
Listen carefully to the first instrument before skipping. Each skip makes the answer easier but lowers your score. Wait until you genuinely cannot identify the track.
Aim to solve below the song's par. Par represents the expected number of instruments needed, so beating it shows above-average recognition.
Set hint preferences before you start. Turning hints on or off changes difficulty, so decide in Settings whether you want year, genre, instrument labels, or popularity data visible during play.
Use Settings to control whether worldwide solve rates and your completion time appear after each round. Hide them if you prefer not to compare results.
If you play in a band or study arrangements, focus on rhythm patterns and instrumental tone rather than waiting for vocals. Early layers often contain drums, bass, or a lead riff that can identify a song faster than the melody.
Reading your results
Each song carries a par score showing how many instruments the puzzle expects you to need. Your result displays whether you beat, met, or exceeded that par. Settings also let you view or hide global statistics and solve time depending on whether you want public comparison or private play.
