What is BBall Tradle?
BBall Tradle is a trade identification game built around NBA and NFL transactions. Each puzzle shows a real trade split into two columns, "Team A receives" and "Team B receives", with nearly all player names and draft picks blurred except one visible item. You must identify the year and both franchises involved within five attempts.
How to play BBall Tradle
- Use the NBA/NFL toggle to choose a sport, then select Daily, Infinite, or Impossible.
- Review the two-column trade display. One item is visible; the others are blurred.
- Enter the year in the left field and choose each team from its dropdown menu.
- Click “Submit guess.” Your answer will appear in the tracking table, and you will have one fewer attempt remaining.
- Click Skip to reveal one more item at the cost of one attempt. You can also give up.
Modes
Daily offers one trade each day. The banner reads “Daily: Open” until you complete it.
Infinite presents trades back to back and shows your current streak in the banner. Your best streak is saved locally.
Impossible contains a fixed set of difficult trades. Your progress appears as a fraction, such as 0/19.
The NFL toggle switches the site from basketball to American football while keeping the same trade-reconstruction format.
Reading the feedback
The tracking table has separate columns for the year, Team 1, and Team 2, with five rows for entries. A remaining-attempts counter sits below the form. The input banner includes a timer that starts at 00:00. At the top of the page, three statuses appear at once: Daily status, Infinite streak, and Impossible progress.
Strategy tips
Narrow down the year first. The one readable detail often points to a particular era, and identifying the decade makes the two franchise dropdowns easier to search.
Skip a turn early if it reveals another part of the trade. Using one of five attempts to get concrete evidence is usually better than guessing two years at random.
The team names must match the exact franchises involved when the trade took place. The dropdowns prevent typos, but you still need to know the teams’ historical names.
Trades are NBA folklore. Fans remember the star who left but rarely the full package that went the other way. Tradle reverses the exercise: it shows the complete transaction, hides the context, and asks you to date and name the deal. The result feels like opening an archive. One readable name hints at an era, then a second element either confirms your theory or overturns it entirely. Once you finish the daily, Infinite mode waits with another trade.
