What is Choomdle?

Choomdle is a daily browser-based guessing game focused on cards from the Cyberpunk Trading Card Game. Players attempt to identify the hidden card of the day by submitting guesses and receiving feedback on shared attributes. It is a fan-made project with no affiliation to CD Projekt Red or WeirdCo.

How to play Choomdle

  1. Open the site and select Classic mode for the daily challenge, which presents the same card to every player and resets at 00:00 UTC.
  2. Type the name of a Cyberpunk TCG card you believe matches the target and submit the guess.
  3. Review the comparison table that appears for Type, Faction, Color, Cost (€$), Power, and RAM.
  4. Interpret the color feedback: green marks an exact match on that attribute; orange indicates a partial faction overlap (at least one shared faction, without naming it); red shows a mismatch, with an up or down arrow on numeric values to signal whether the target is higher or lower.
  5. Use the feedback to narrow the remaining possibilities and submit another card name. Guesses are unlimited.
  6. Continue until the correct card is found. Progress saves automatically in the browser.
  7. Optionally create a free account to retain earned eddies across sessions, unlock achievements, track a personal collection, and compete on monthly Legend rankings. Guest play is available, but eddies reset daily without an account.

Understanding the comparison system

The game evaluates each guess against six fixed attributes drawn from the Cyberpunk Trading Card Game data set. Type distinguishes categories such as Legend, Unit, Program, or Gear. Faction and Color reflect the card’s affiliations and visual identity within the set. Cost is measured in eddies (€$), while Power and RAM provide numerical combat and resource values.

Because factions can overlap partially, an orange result does not reveal the exact shared faction; it only confirms that at least one match exists. Numeric arrows apply solely to Cost, Power, and RAM, giving directional information without disclosing the precise difference. The system never reproduces official card art or full rules text; it relies only on the structured attributes needed for comparison.

A new Classic card is selected every day at midnight UTC and remains identical for all players until the next reset. Additional modes appear alongside Classic, including Endless for unrestricted practice, timed Blitz runs, Sequence challenges, Cards Link puzzles, and variants focused on Ability, Art, or Alt Art. These modes share the same underlying card pool and feedback style but alter timing, constraints, or presentation.

Tips for efficient guessing

Begin with cards that occupy middle ranges on Cost, Power, and RAM so that directional arrows quickly eliminate large portions of the set. After the first few guesses, prioritize attributes that have already returned green or orange results and treat red numeric arrows as strict filters.

Faction feedback requires extra care: an orange result means the target shares at least one faction with the guessed card, yet the exact identity remains hidden. Avoid discarding entire color groups solely on a single orange reading.

Because guesses are unlimited, there is no penalty for systematic elimination. Record the confirmed greens and the directional constraints in a short mental or written list before each new submission. The site stores local progress, so interrupted sessions can resume without loss. Free accounts further preserve long-term eddies and collection data, allowing players to measure improvement across successive daily cards and monthly rankings.
