What is ChronoTrivia?
ChronoTrivia is a daily timeline-sorting game that presents seven boards: one per category (Entertainment, Technology, Sports, Science, History, Culture) plus a Daily Mix that draws from all six. Each board shows historical events with their years hidden by "????" and a brief subtitle. You drag cards between the EARLIEST FIRST marker at the top and the MOST RECENT LAST marker at the bottom to arrange them chronologically.
How to play ChronoTrivia
Choose a board from the CATEGORY row: Daily Mix or one of the six themed categories. Select a difficulty below the board: Classic shows the order only; Expert also requires the exact years.
Drag the event cards into chronological order, with the oldest at the top and the most recent at the bottom. Select Check Order to submit your arrangement. You have three attempts per board. The hint button unlocks after your first submission.
When you finish, move to the next board. The TODAY /7 counter shows your progress through the seven daily grids.
Board structure and difficulty modes
Category boards contain four events. The Daily Mix contains six events drawn from multiple categories. Classic mode requires only correct chronological order. Expert mode adds a second challenge: typing the exact year for each event, tracked separately from the ordering score. Both modes allow three attempts and provide one hint after the first try.
Why seven boards make a difference
Each category creates its own pattern. Sorting four technological inventions relies on different knowledge than sorting four entertainment releases, where margins can be as narrow as three years. The Daily Mix combines categories and reveals which domains you handle well and which need more attention. Seven grids provide variety without overwhelming a single session.
Reading the feedback
After completing a board, the game reveals the correct chronological order, displays the actual years, and provides a narrative explanation for each event. The hint system unlocks after your first attempt, meaning your opening submission is never wasted.
Archive and timeline resources
Past puzzles remain accessible through the archive, complete with answers and event narratives. Six timeline pages organize the events of each category in chronological order for reference. New puzzles arrive at midnight in your local time zone, with a countdown displayed above the board.
Tips for stronger sorting
Save your first attempt to unlock the hint rather than guessing blindly. The hint becomes available only after you confirm once, so use that initial submission strategically. Tackle the Daily Mix last, after warming up on category boards. Its six-card layout is more complex than the four-card category grids. In Expert mode, year accuracy is recorded separately from ordering: you can miss some dates and still succeed on the timeline.
