What is Cricle?

Cricle is a daily cricket player guessing game. A mystery player is hidden behind a blurred photo at the center of a field. You have six attempts, labeled BALL 1 through BALL 6 like the six balls of an over. A scoreboard on the right compares your guesses across six columns: NAME, COUNTRY, ROLE, BAT, BOWL, and AGE. Six dotted markers under the photo track how many balls you have left.

How to play Cricle

  1. Open cricle.in and select PLAY.
  2. Look at the blurred photo under “WHO IS TODAY’S MYSTERY PLAYER?”
  3. Enter a player’s name in the “GUESS A PLAYER...” field, then select GUESS.
  4. Check how your guess compares on NAME, COUNTRY, ROLE, BAT, BOWL, and AGE.
  5. Keep guessing until ball six. You can use HINT (3), but it costs wickets.
  6. Select SURRENDER to end the puzzle early.

Cricle commits to cricket terminology throughout. You lose balls, not attempts, and hints are paid for in wickets. This grammar mirrors a real over and gives each ball strategic weight. Early balls allow broad exploration while later balls carry pressure. For cricket fans, this framing is more meaningful than a generic attempt counter.

Reading the scoreboard

Each guess occupies one BALL line on the scoreboard and is broken into columns: country, role, batting style, bowling style, and age. The feedback shows which attributes match the mystery player and which do not.

Daily puzzle
One mystery player per day with six balls. The date and puzzle number appear on the home screen.

HISTORY
A HISTORY button in the top bar, next to STATS and RANK, allows you to review past puzzles.

Tips for efficient guessing

  • The input field only accepts recognized player names. Type a full name and wait for the field to confirm the player exists before submitting. Random words will not register on the scoreboard.
  • COUNTRY and ROLE eliminate large portions of the player pool. AGE and the BAT/BOWL styles are better for distinguishing between similar profiles. Start with broad categories, then narrow down.
  • Hints cost wickets. Save them for situations where a wasted ball would hurt more than the hint itself.

How many attempts does Cricle give?
Six, counted like the six balls of an over. The home screen announces it and the board displays BALL 1 to BALL 6.

Are hints free?
No. The button displays HINT (3) and the game warns that a hint "will cost wickets."

Do you have to create an account?
Not to play. The game runs without login and stores state in the browser. The home screen offers sign-in for the leaderboard with the note "SIGN IN TO SAVE YOUR RANK."
