What is DCdle?
DCdle is a daily deduction game where you identify a DC universe character—hero, villain, or iconic location—by comparing your guesses against multiple criteria. Each submission returns color-coded feedback across several attributes, plus directional arrows for numeric properties. Three hint panels unlock as you make more attempts: a comic excerpt after 3 tries, a quote after 6, and a description after 11. The interface includes language options for French and English, a light or dark theme, and optional account sign-in.
How to play DCdle
Choose your language from the banner and open the Play page. Enter a DC character’s name in the input field and select Submit. Read the result row with the five-color legend: green means a correct match, amber means a partial match for a criterion with multiple values, and red means no match. Blue and purple arrows show whether your numeric guess is too low or too high.
Your attempt count unlocks hints after 3, 6, and 11 tries. Use the colors and arrow directions to refine each guess until you identify the target character.
The legend below the board defines five states. Green confirms a criterion is correct. Red means no element matches. Amber appears when a criterion holds multiple values and only part of your answer is correct. Blue and purple arrows frame numeric properties, showing whether your guess is lower or higher than the target. Invalid entries that are not recognized DC character names produce no result row.
Use partial matches to narrow the field
Amber feedback is the most informative signal. It confirms you have found part of the answer without completing the criterion, letting you isolate shared traits between your guess and the target. Numeric arrows always provide directional information even when the character name is far off, so early attempts contribute meaningful data. The three hint panels cost nothing except attempt count, so reaching them is a matter of persistence rather than strategy.
