What is Fumbll?
Fumbll is a daily American football player guessing game. You have six attempts to identify a hidden NFL player by comparing submitted names across seven attributes: team, division, position, jersey number, age, years of experience, and fantasy points. A new puzzle appears every day at 8:00 UTC, and every player receives the same mystery player.
How to play Fumbll
- Open fumbll.com and locate the search field above the seven comparison columns.
- Type a player name into "Search for a player..." and select it from the dropdown.
- Tap GUESS to submit. A feedback row appears, comparing your choice to the mystery player column by column.
- Use the color-coded matches and directional arrows on numeric columns to eliminate possibilities.
- Repeat for up to six guesses total.
- Optionally enable HARD mode before your first guess to play without proximity indicators.
Understanding the feedback
Each column returns one of three results: Correct, Close, or Miss. Team and position must match exactly. Division is marked “Close” when both players are in the same conference. Numeric columns use set tolerances: jersey number within five, age within two years, experience within two seasons, and fantasy points within 25 points, calculated using half-PPR scoring for the 2025 season. Arrows show whether the target value is higher or lower than your guess.
Daily Grid is one puzzle shared by all players and refreshed at 8:00 UTC.
Hard Mode: Activated via the HARD button in the header. Removes all proximity indicators, leaving only directional arrows on numeric columns. Cannot be deactivated once enabled. Shared results display an "All-Pro" label if hard mode was active from the first guess, or "Pro Bowl" if enabled mid-game.

Strategy tips
Use the published tolerances as constraints. A "close" verdict on age narrows the answer to a two-year window; a "close" jersey number defines a five-number range. Two strategic guesses that span different ranges provide more information than random attempts.
The division column is the most efficient early filter. A "close" result confirms the same conference, immediately eliminating half the league.
Fantasy points are calculated in half PPR for 2025. Guessing a player with known production volume establishes the target's scoring tier and helps filter by position impact.
If you want hard mode, enable it before your first guess. The setting is irreversible for the current grid, and only grids completed entirely in hard mode receive the "All-Pro" distinction when shared.
