What is GroundIQ?
GroundIQ places you inside a real stadium and asks you to identify which team plays there. You see a Google Street View panorama locked to one point: you can rotate 360 degrees and zoom, but you cannot walk or move to a different location. The interface shows "Which team calls this ground home?" alongside a text field, a "Lock team" button, and a TIME BONUS gauge that starts at 45 seconds and counts down. A note reading "AS OF 2025-26" clarifies that stadium ownership reflects the 2025-26 season. Each day presents five stadiums, identical for all players.
How to play GroundIQ
From your fixed position, rotate the view and zoom in to inspect the stands, seat colors, advertising boards, and skyline. Enter the club name and confirm with “Lock team.” Answer within 45 seconds to keep more points—the game says, “Faster answers keep more points.” Complete all five stadiums, then compare your total with other players on the weekly leaderboard.
Why stadiums without matches matter
Recognizing a stadium without a live match is a different skill: no jerseys, no commentary, only the architecture of the stands and the seat patterns. Reading the feedback
Your score remains visible in the top right throughout the game, and the TIME BONUS gauge counts down next to the answer field. The page repeats that quick answers preserve more points, with a maximum of 1,000 per round. The weekly leaderboard displays each player's total and the number of days played that week.

Tips for stronger answers
Seats first. Stand colors and patterns are the strongest clue. Many clubs arrange their initials or crest into the terraces and match seat colors to their kit. The game itself advises checking seat patterns early.
Gauge the scale before hunting details. A large bowl with multiple tiers indicates a different kind of club than a compact ground. This distinction is visible immediately and narrows the field before you look for finer details.
Do not waste time searching for distant signs. The view is locked to one point. You rotate and zoom, but you cannot move forward or sideways.
Club attachments are dated "AS OF 2025-26." A recently vacated or shared stadium should be judged according to that season, not an older memory.
