What is LinkyGrid World Cup?
LinkyGrid World Cup is a daily football connection puzzle that asks you to draw every link between six players who played together or against each other. Each card shows a photo, name, and country. You drag from one card to another to test a connection. The right panel tracks your timer, total links to find, misses, hints used, and displays each validated link with its explanation.
How to play LinkyGrid World Cup
- Select Easy or Hard difficulty using the tabs above the board.
- Press a player card and drag to another card to test a connection. A simple click does nothing.
- Read the explanation added to "Found Links" when a connection is correct. The line remains drawn on the board.
- Continue connecting cards until you reach the total shown in the LINKS counter.
- Use Hint or Reset buttons at the top right if needed, keeping in mind that both affect your final result.
Teammate and opponent links both count
The instruction mentions two families of links: players who were teammates and players who faced each other as opponents. The opponent link is the one most people overlook, yet it often provides the richest connection between players from different nations. The country shown under each name is the first filter for determining which tournaments two cards might have crossed paths in.
Reading the feedback
A correct link leaves two traces: the line stays visible between the two cards, and its explanation appears in the "Found Links" panel. Three counters frame the play: LINKS for progress, MISSES for failed attempts, and HINTS for hints used. A timer runs above the board with an eye-slash icon beside it to toggle visibility.
Tips for a cleaner result
The gesture is a drag, not a click. Press a card and pull to the next one. Clicking an isolated card does not test anything.
The MISSES counter is not decorative. The game warns that failed attempts and hints may affect your final result, so pause before dragging if you are uncertain.
The types of links vary from puzzle to puzzle and are indicated next to the board. Check that description before assuming only club teammates count.
