What is Logohue?
Logohue shows one brand logo per day printed in flat black and asks you to recall the actual color of a highlighted part. The brand name is given, so this is not a logo quiz but a memory test for specific shades. You receive exactly one guess.
How to play Logohue
- Read the brand name and identify which part of the logo the prompt is asking about.
- Tap the swatch to open the color picker, which includes a hue strip, a shade square and a hex input field.
- Select your color using the picker or type the hex code directly if you know it.
- Press "Lock in guess." That is your only submission for the day.
- Review the result, which is graded by proximity to the correct color rather than a pass-or-fail verdict.
Why the game works
Recognizing a brand name does not mean you can pinpoint its color on a gradient. The game tests that difference between recognition and precise color memory. Many people feel confident they know a famous logo’s color until they have to select it from thousands of shades. The single-guess rule removes trial and error and turns each round into a ten-second challenge. Anyone who works with brand palettes can enter a hex code and test their accuracy directly.
Tips for a closer match
Type the hex code if you have even a vague memory of the brand’s palette. The picker works well for browsing, but it is harder to use precisely. Some brand colors are distinctive enough that people remember them as numbers.
The picker starts on neutral grey, which is unlikely to match most brand colors. Adjust it before locking in.
Picture the product or storefront rather than the logo itself. The logo is shown in black on purpose, so you are actually recalling packaging, signage or other brand touchpoints where the color appears.
