What is Lyricle?
Lyricle is a daily song-guessing game that reveals lyrics one line at a time. You have six attempts to identify the song title and artist by typing into an autocomplete search bar. Each guess or skip unlocks the next line until you solve the puzzle or run out of tries.
How to play Lyricle
- Read the first lyric line displayed on the screen.
- Type into the search bar, which autocompletes both artist names and song titles as you enter partial words.
- Submit a guess or press SKIP to reveal the next line. You may do this up to six times.
- Use the Hint button if you are stuck, then share your result or switch to Unlimited Mode once the daily puzzle is complete.
Game modes
Daily Lyricle offers one song per day, shared by all players, with a countdown timer to the next puzzle.
Unlimited Mode runs on a separate subdomain and generates endless puzzles for continued play after the daily round.
Genres appear as a link after you complete the daily puzzle, offering themed variants focused on specific musical styles.
Reading your score
Six progress boxes above the search bar track your attempts. Each box fills with color based on the outcome of that guess. Click any box to review what you entered. A win displays the full lyric block and opens a stats panel showing games played, win rate, current streak, and guess distribution across all six attempts. A Share button and countdown timer appear at the bottom.
Strategy tips
First lines decide the game. Famous songs often open with their least recognizable lyrics, so scan for place names, images, or unusual phrases rather than waiting for a chorus hook.
Skip when you have no lead. A skip reveals the next line without burning a guess slot, but it still consumes one of your six attempts, so use it deliberately.
Type fragments instead of complete titles. The autocomplete engine matches partial phrases like "country roads" to the full "John Denver: Take Me Home, Country Roads" entry mid-input.
Lyricle works entirely without audio, making it playable in any environment where sound-based games cannot run. No account or sign-in is required; all stats and streaks store locally in your browser.
