What is Musicle?
Musicle is a web-based music-guessing game where you hear short samples of tracks and try to identify the album they belong to. The site offers multiple flavors (genres and themed collections) and two main play modes. Plays can be tracked in ranked leaderboards, and an optional premium purchase removes ads.
How to play Musicle
- Tap the play icon to hear a sample of a track.
- Tap the album cover to view details and make your selection.
- In Regular mode: tap 'My guess' to submit and see if you were right.
- In Royale mode: listen to all samples, click the albums you think match them, then confirm with the 'Heard it!' button.
Play modes
Regular
Listen to one song and choose from four album options. There are three secret albums to guess each day; after you guess one, the next appears in a new column.
Royale
Hear 6 samples and choose from 9 albums. Tap the play icon to hear samples, click the albums that match, and confirm with 'Heard it!'. One wrong choice and the game is over.
Challenge Mode (Hard mode)
A toggleable modifier that shortens all music samples to 5 seconds, increasing difficulty. Enable or disable it using the flame icon at the top right.
Reading the feedback
When you submit a guess the game tells you whether you were correct. In Regular play a correct guess advances to the next album; in Royale a correct selection lets you continue, while an incorrect selection ends the game. Hits are recorded for stats and ranking purposes. Hits count toward weekly leaderboards, and hit-miss ratio is used as a tie-break.
Tips for better play
Tap an album cover to see it larger and read details before confirming your guess. This prevents hasty selections based on cover art alone.
Use Challenge Mode (flame icon) only if you want 5-second samples for a harder experience. The shorter window demands quicker recognition or deeper familiarity with the tracks.
Maintaining hits helps your leaderboard standing because hits count toward weekly rankings. In Royale especially, one mistake ends the run, so take time to match samples carefully before confirming.
