What is Perimetle?

Perimetle is an outline comparison game on GuessDash. Each round displays two filled silhouettes side by side on a dotted board, one purple and one gold. Your task is to pick which shape has the longer perimeter. The game consists of seven rounds, with progress tracked by pips above the board and a "ROUND x / 7" indicator in the corner.

How to play Perimetle

  1. Read the opening tutorial card that explains the core rule: judge the full outside edge, not the bulk or area of the shape.
  2. Click one of the two silhouettes to make your choice.
  3. Watch the reveal animation, where both outlines trace themselves to show which perimeter is actually longer.
  4. Move to the next round. Complete all seven rounds to finish the daily run.

Why the game is deliberately tricky

Perimetle exploits a visual instinct. Your eye naturally measures bulk and area, but the game asks only about the outline. A large, smooth object can have a shorter perimeter than a small, jagged one. One round might pair a bulky shape against a spiky silhouette with legs, a tail, and a ragged edge, punishing anyone who relies on size alone. The reveal animation traces each outline so you can see exactly where your judgment went wrong.

Tips for better choices

Look for jagged edges, limbs, and irregular contours. These features add perimeter length even when the overall shape appears small. A compact silhouette with many protrusions often beats a larger, smoother one.

Ignore area completely. Comparing overall size is the fastest way to choose incorrectly. Focus on counting the turns, spikes, and curves that make up the full outside edge.

Pause before clicking. You get one choice per round with no retries, so take a moment to trace each outline mentally before committing.

Daily mode and progress tracking

Perimetle offers a daily run filed by date. The browser stores your progress locally using a run ID while the seven rounds remain unfinished. No GuessDash account is required to play, though a sign-up option sits in the header. The session files against a guest player key if you remain unsigned.
