What is PUZZDLE?
PUZZDLE is a weekly puzzle game that publishes one challenge every Saturday at 14:00 GMT+2. The site is in beta. Each puzzle is open-ended with no explicit instructions, requiring you to decode an image composed of pictograms, faces, photos and other symbols arranged in rows above empty letter boxes. You solve the puzzle by entering a single word or phrase. Each puzzle carries an author credit, a date and a difficulty label such as Medium.
How to play PUZZDLE
- Open Play Latest from the homepage. Choose View All to browse the archive, or Tutorial to start the introductory puzzle.
- Read the title, flavor text, and difficulty tag. The puzzle gives no further instructions.
- Decode the image one line at a time. Each row of pictograms matches a row of letter boxes.
- Use the workspace tools: Annotate lets you write on the image, Notes provides space for scratch work, and Decoder contains reference tables. All three open beneath the puzzle, so you can use them without leaving the page.
- Enter your solution in the answer field. If you get stuck, use Hint.
PUZZDLE draws on the treasure-hunt tradition
PUZZDLE brings the puzzlehunt format into a short-form browser game. No one tells you what to do with the image. You look at the symbols lined up above empty boxes, and the first victory is understanding the question. The weekly rhythm fits this style: it is not a two-minute game between emails. You set it down and pick it up again, with the Notes panel open beside you.
Reading the feedback
The puzzle displays no attempt counter and no color coding. The only colors in the grid are the green boxes already printed in the puzzle image from the start.

Tips for solving PUZZDLE
The puzzle does not give its instructions. The title and flavor text are the prompt. In one edition, the story about pigs speaking an invented language is the only indication of what to decode.
The Decoder is a panel of the site, not a tool to fetch elsewhere. It unfolds under the image next to Notes, and Annotate lets you write directly on the pictograms.

Do you need an account to play?
No. The puzzle opens and the answer field accepts input without any identification, even though the menu offers an Account entry and a Leaderboard.
