What is Quizl?
Quizl is a daily general-knowledge quiz at quizl.io. Each day brings five new multiple-choice questions drawn from history, film, literature, science, sport and pop culture. The game is free, requires no account, and takes a couple of minutes to complete. The Quizl wordmark at the top of the page doubles as a score card: each of its five letters takes the color of the matching question as you answer, turning the entire logo gold when you score five out of five. Beyond the daily quiz sits the Vault, an archive holding every puzzle published since March 2022, and a multiplayer room for up to four friends.
How to play Quizl
- Open quizl.io to see the first question.
- Choose one of the four answer buttons. Your selection is locked as soon as you tap it.
- Check the feedback. A correct choice turns green; a wrong one turns red. The correct answer is shown in green either way.
- The matching letter in the Quizl wordmark changes to the same color.
- Continue to the next question and play through all five.
- After the fifth question, open Stats for your score out of five, current streak, and the countdown to the next Quizl.
- Share your row of green and red squares, or visit the Vault to play earlier puzzles.
Game modes
Daily Quizl
Each day brings five new trivia questions, with four options for each. You get one attempt per question. Stats show your games played, current and longest streaks, average score, and score distribution from 0/5 to 5/5.
Vault
The Vault holds past Quizls dating back to March 2022. Five puzzles are released daily, and each question can be attempted as many times as you like. Once you answer a question correctly, it remains correct when you replay the puzzle. Filters let you hide golden, attempted, or unattempted puzzles.
Multiplayer
Play Quizl with up to four friends and compete for first place. You need an account to create or join a game.
The Gamemodes menu includes three other daily games: Cryptl, a daily cryptogram; Hex, where you pick the correct answer from a hexagon of choices; and Scrambled, a timed word-unscrambling race.
Quizl grades each question as soon as you tap an answer. Your choice turns green when it is correct and red when it is wrong, while the correct answer appears in green. A wrong answer reveals the solution, but you cannot try the question again. Each result colors one letter of the Quizl wordmark, and five correct answers turn the full logo gold. A message rates your run, from “There’s always tomorrow!” at zero correct answers to “Brainiac!!” at five. The share text shows your result as a row of green and red squares.
Play Quizl if you want a quick general-knowledge test with a streak worth protecting and a deep back catalogue: the Vault carries every puzzle since March 2022 and adds five more each midnight. Skip it if you prefer puzzles that reward deduction over recall, because Quizl tests memory alone and one wrong tap ends a question permanently. The daily keeps its five questions deliberately mainstream, so trivia regulars seeking harder challenges will find them in the Vault rather than on the front page.
Tips and strategy
Read all four options before choosing. Tapping an answer commits it, with no way to undo.
Save your guesswork for the Vault, where you can try each question as many times as you like. The daily quiz allows one attempt per question. Once you answer a Vault question correctly, it stays marked correct, so replaying an old puzzle only tests the ones you missed.
The Vault releases five puzzles at midnight each day. If you want to work through the archive in order, clear that batch before the next one arrives.
Come back every day rather than playing in bursts. Only consecutive days build your streak, and the share text adds the flame once your streak passes two.
Get five out of five to turn the wordmark gold. The Vault uses the same marker in its Hide Golden filter.
