Songdle is a daily music identification game built around one 30-second audio clip. Identify the artist, song title, and release year. You can start without an account; logging in gives you access to the leaderboard.
Press play at the bottom of the game card. Start with the Artist tab, or tap Skip to move on. Use the arrows beside the central Submit button to switch to Song and Year. Choose an entry from each field’s dropdown list before submitting. The date bar above the board shows whether you are playing today’s round, marked with the “Today” pill.
Each tab handles a separate question. You can answer them in any order. If the release year feels more obvious than the title, start with Year. The Skip button applies only to the current tab, not the entire round. The Submit button stays greyed out until you select a suggestion from the dropdown; typing alone will not activate it.
Use the player controls
The audio player includes a progress bar and volume slider. You can replay a specific passage instead of listening to the full thirty seconds in one pass. A "Switch to Turntable" button under the player offers an alternate listening layout.
Tips for a stronger guess
Answer the easiest tab first. If the vocal style gives away the artist but the title remains unclear, lock in the artist before moving to the other two. The year often narrows down once you have identified the song or performer.
Listen to the entire clip before skipping. A distinctive lyric or instrument may appear later in the thirty seconds. The leaderboard and login features suggest competition, but the game does not require an account to play the daily round.
