What is SongToSong?
SongToSong is a daily music puzzle that connects two artists through a chain of collaborative tracks. You start with one artist and must reach a target artist by selecting songs that feature other performers. Each featured artist becomes the next link in your chain until you complete the connection.
How to play SongToSong
The CURRENT portrait shows your starting artist; TARGET shows the artist you need to reach. Search for a song by the current artist that features someone else, then select that collaboration. The featured artist becomes your new current artist, and the chain gains a link.
Keep searching until you reach the target, using the counter beneath the portraits to track the chain. Go Back removes the last link, while Reset clears the entire chain.
Tap the lightbulb in the search bar to see popular collaborations by the current artist. You get three hints per day.
Search songs, not artists.
The field asks for a song title, not an artist name. A collaboration like "Song Title feat. Artist Name" moves you from the main performer to the featured one. The featured artist then becomes your starting point for the next search. This distinction matters when the autocomplete appears.
Feedback tracks your chain length
SongToSong counts steps rather than limiting attempts. The "CHAIN SO FAR" counter shows how many connections you have made. The game stores completed chains in an eight-slot distribution, revealing the typical range of solutions. Your local save also tracks games played, wins, current streak, best streak, and the state of an unfinished daily chain so you can resume later.
Modes
Play Daily Challenge presents the day's puzzle with a countdown to the next one on the home screen.
Previous Days opens a list of past challenges you can replay.
Statistics displays your performance data from local storage: games, wins, streaks, and the distribution of chain lengths.
Oracle is described on the home screen as a mode for experts.
Tips for shorter chains
The shortest path rarely runs through the biggest star. A highly collaborative artist, even if less famous, often connects to more performers than a headliner who rarely features guests.
Save your three daily hints for an artist whose collaborations you genuinely do not know. Using a hint to confirm an intuition wastes the quota.
Go Back removes one link without resetting everything. Before pressing Reset, back up one or two links and try a different branch.
