What is Statle?
Statle is a daily NBA statistics game that presents three separate challenges on one page, all built from career per game averages. The front page displays a day number and three modes labeled by difficulty: Over / Under (EASY), Career Clash (NORMAL), and Hit the Target (HARD). Career Clash is the simplest format—a stat question at the top, two player cards side by side, and a row of ten dashes tracking your progress.
How to play Statle
- Choose one of the three games from the front page. Each carries its own difficulty label.
- In Career Clash, read the stat question and tap the player you think has the higher career per game average for that category.
- Work through ten matchups. The dash row under the cards fills in as you progress, and the header provides access to Stats and How panels.
- Review your results after completing all ten comparisons. Each game resets daily at midnight ET.
Why Career Clash works
Career Clash asks about per-game averages, not career totals, and that change overturns many first impressions. Long careers build impressive totals while often lowering the average. Per-game rates are harder to remember than totals, which makes the ten comparisons quick but uncertain. Three games, one dataset, and no typing. Ten taps and you’re done.
There is no clock on the Career Clash board. The only progress indicator is the row of ten dashes, so any pressure you feel is self-inflicted. Take your time comparing the two players before you tap.
When a matchup is close, consider the player’s role and era. Someone who spent most of their career as a starter will often have a higher per-game average than a player who spent many seasons on the bench, even if the second player had a longer career.
Every question uses the same format: career per-game averages. The puzzle is the same for everyone and refreshes at midnight ET, so you can compare your results with other players.
There are three modes:
Over / Under is labeled EASY on the front page. You decide whether a player’s career average for a given stat is above or below a stated threshold.
Career Clash is labeled NORMAL. It has ten matchups, each asking which of two players had the higher career per-game average for a given stat.
Hit the Target is labeled HARD. You estimate a player’s exact career per-game average for a specific stat within a given range.
