What is Thrice?
Thrice is a daily trivia game from Geeks Who Drink. Each day, it gives you five questions in five categories. Every question has three clues, released from hardest to easiest. A correct answer after the first clue earns three points, after the second earns two, and after the third earns one. Wrong guesses carry no penalty.
Read the first clue and category, then answer if you know it. If you are stuck, request another clue and accept the lower score. Complete all five questions before the set refreshes at midnight.
The structure rewards knowledge while leaving room to explore. Opening clues are genuinely difficult because Geeks Who Drink writes professional pub quizzes. Revealing a clue is the cost of taking a safer guess. Across fifteen available points, each question becomes a small decision: spend clue budget or attempt an uncertain answer. Five questions keep the session short, which many trivia dailies fail to do.
Reading your score
Points reflect how early you answered. Each question opens at three points. Taking a clue reduces the value to two, then to one. The remaining clue count appears beside the reveal link. Incorrect answers do not subtract points, so the score records certainty more than accuracy.
Tips for better play
Guess before taking a clue whenever you have a plausible answer. There is no penalty for being wrong, so an unclued attempt costs nothing and gives you feedback on your confidence.
Read the category before engaging with the question. It frames the type of answer you need and often rules out an obvious wrong direction.
Spend clues early on questions you are unlikely to solve. Agonizing over a three-point question when you lack the relevant knowledge wastes decision time. Take both clues quickly and move on.
