What is Vroomdle?
Vroomdle hides one car per day and gives you ten guesses to name it. Each guess is broken down into six columns: brand, country of origin, body type, starting production year, number of generations and powertrain. The game is numbered, with No. 178 observed during testing.
How to play Vroomdle
- Type a brand or model name into the input field.
- Choose an entry from the suggested list that appears.
- Submit your choice using the Guess button.
- Read the six colored columns that appear on the line.
- Repeat until you identify the car or reach the ten-attempt limit. The counter "Attempts: 0/10" increases with each try.
Reading the feedback
The columns use three colors: green for a correct answer, yellow for a close one, and gray for no information. In numeric columns, yellow means your value is within the correct range. In the region column, it means your country is in the same region as the correct one. The Year column also shows an ↑ or ↓ arrow to indicate whether the actual launch year is later or earlier than your guess.
Modes
Daily Puzzle: One numbered car is hidden each day, and you get ten attempts. Everyone receives the same car.
JDM, American, Old School: Three additional modes appear in a banner at the top of the page. They were not tested.
Six columns provide enough information to reason through the puzzle rather than guess by chance. The body type eliminates whole families, the country divides the planet into regions, and the number of generations identifies models that have been around a long time. Ten attempts leave room for a real investigation.
Tips for solving
The country yellow is regional, not border-specific. A German guess that turns yellow tells you to stay in Europe, not to change continents.
The Gen column counts the model's generations, so it separates a name used for decades from a newcomer, even when brand and country are identical. People tend to neglect this column.
No need to type a full name by hand. Type a brand or model, then choose from the suggestions.
Common questions
Do you need to guess the exact model or is the brand enough? The required answer is a specific car. The Brand column is only one of the six compared categories.
What does the arrow in the Year column mean? It indicates the direction: ↑ or ↓ tells you whether the hidden car's starting production year is later or earlier than your guess.
