What is Yesternerd?
Yesternerd bundles four daily history games for the same player set. Each day offers four separate challenges in different formats, all using a shared historical theme or set of subjects.
How to play Yesternerd
- Choose one of the four daily history challenges from the main menu.
- Use the historical clues provided by that challenge to make the required identification or grouping.
- Return to the menu to try the remaining daily games whenever you want a different historical puzzle format.
Understanding the scoring in Face Value mode
Face Value rounds begin at 100 points. Each torn scrap costs 10 points, Claim to Fame costs 25, Lived To/From costs 15, and switching to three choices costs 80. Wrong guesses and purchased clues lower the value of a correct answer, but it is always worth at least 10 points. The display shows which of the three rounds you are on and your running total.
Avoid buying scraps and clues unless they are worth the cost. After spending points in a round, a correct answer still earns at least 10 points, so an educated guess may be worthwhile. Use the round tracker to decide whether to spend points now or save them for a later round.
If you expect to play offline, load the game while you are online. The official page says the site works offline after the daily set has loaded.
