What is BlindGlobe?
BlindGlobe is a daily geography-placement game. It asks you to locate three named cities on a blank 3D globe, using a green reference city to estimate direction and distance before placing a marker.
How to play BlindGlobe
- Read the target-city name and locate the green reference city.
- Drag to rotate the globe and scroll to zoom.
- Click the globe to place a marker; reposition it if needed before confirming.
- Complete all three city rounds, using optional hints only when their score cost is worthwhile.
Scoring and feedback
BlindGlobe awards points according to placement accuracy. A guess within 50 km earns 5,000 points. The interface displays played, high-score and average-score counters. Hints are explicit score trade-offs: revealing the country costs 500 points, while showing country outlines costs 2,000 points.
Tips for accurate placement
Anchor the target to the green reference city first, then estimate direction and distance before rotating the globe.
Zoom in only after you have identified the broad region. Small changes on a globe can represent large distances.
Save hints for a placement where they materially reduce uncertainty, because each one deducts points.
