What is Buzzled?
Buzzled is a hexagonal logic puzzle that uses numbered pins instead of traditional clues. Each pin displays a total and a color—yellow or black—and applies to a line of hexagons radiating from its position. You color the hexagons so that the sum of the requested color matches the pin's target. The Classic daily board contains thirty-seven hexagons surrounded by twenty-one pins arranged in three directions across the honeycomb.
How to play Buzzled
- Select a pin and note its total and target color.
- Click hexagons along that pin's line to cycle them through yellow, black, or white. Right-click reverses the color order.
- Adjust the colors until the sum of hexagons matching the pin's requested color equals the pin's total.
- When a pin's line is correct, its outline turns green. Click that green pin to auto-fill any remaining white hexagons in its line with the opposite color.
- Use Undo to step back or Reset to start over.
Why hexagons change the logic
On a square grid each cell answers to two constraints. Here each hexagon sits at the intersection of three lines, so every move affects three directions at once. Pins ask for sums rather than simple groups, and both colors can share the same target number. The result is a puzzle that looks organic but solves like an equation system.
Reading the feedback
Pins provide immediate line-by-line validation. A green outline means that line is complete and correct. Because hexagons belong to three lines simultaneously, one confirmed pin instantly constrains two other directions. There is no mistake counter or penalty, only an optional timer at the top of the board.

Tips for solving
Look for short lines with high totals. These lines have fewer hexagons, so a large sum forces most of them to one color and gives you a strong entry point.
Use green pins as tools, not just confirmation. Clicking a completed pin instantly fills the rest of its line with the opposite color and eliminates manual error.
In Master mode the same grid becomes a different puzzle. Without sums to guide you, the challenge shifts from arithmetic to spatial reasoning and constraint propagation.
