What is Chain Reaction?
Chain Reaction presents a mystery restaurant chain each day through five progressive clues. Any regional or national restaurant with at least five locations qualifies as a chain in this game. The clue order is fixed: brand age, birthplace, logo fragment or alternative hint, slogan, then full logo or final fact. The interface uses restaurant menu styling with a CHAINIVORE PRESENTS banner and SUBMIT ORDER button.
How to play Chain Reaction
- Read the clue card marked COURSE 1 OF 5 with a five-segment progress bar.
- Type a chain name into the field and select from the autocomplete drop-down. Freeform input is rejected, but typos are corrected.
- Tap SUBMIT ORDER to confirm your choice.
- Use the Skip button to reveal the next service if stuck, but it counts as a wrong answer.
- Continue through all five services until you identify the chain or exhaust your attempts.
Scoring and feedback
The game awards stars based on which service you solve the puzzle. Five stars for identifying the chain on the first clue, one star on the fifth, zero if you fail to guess correctly. Each additional service costs one star. Skipping a clue counts exactly as a wrong answer and reduces the score by one star. The five-segment bar at the top tracks your current service.
Tips for solving
The fixed clue order means service 2 always reveals the city of origin. If unsure on service 1, consider skipping rather than guessing randomly, since the cost is identical.
Type three or four letters and let autocomplete suggest options instead of searching for exact spelling. The field only accepts entries from the database list.
Service 3 sometimes shows only a logo fragment. When the full logo would give away the chain, the game substitutes a workaround clue instead of an image.
The restaurant theme taps memory for storefronts: founding years and slogans often trigger recognition you did not know you retained.
