What is Daily Detective?

Daily Detective is a daily murder-mystery game that releases one case each day. Players read a briefing, interrogate suspects, examine evidence, then identify the killer, weapon, and motive within a limited number of moves.

How to play Daily Detective

  1. Read the case briefing to learn about the victim, the scene, and the persons of interest.
  2. Interrogate suspects using quick-question buttons or typed questions, and examine evidence. Each action uses one move and is saved to the Notes tab.
  3. Make your accusation by selecting the killer, the weapon, and the motive. You get one chance to submit.

Reading the feedback

The interface shows a Moves counter (e.g., 0/10) and a Hints counter. Each interrogation or evidence examination consumes one move. All interrogations are stored in the Notes tab for review. A Statistics area tracks cases solved, attempts, success rate, streaks, and average time per case.

Tips for solving cases

Compare suspect alibis carefully. Inconsistent stories are often the strongest evidence. Use the Notes tab to review saved interrogations and evidence findings, then look for contradictions or patterns that reveal the truth.

Conserve moves and hints. You start with 10 moves per case (Premium subscribers receive 5 extra). Each interrogation or evidence check uses one move, and hints are limited. Focus your investigation on the most promising leads rather than exhausting every option.

Submit your accusation only when confident. You get one chance to name the killer, weapon, and motive. Double-check your reasoning against the evidence before committing.
