What is Earthle?

Earthle shows a country’s gray silhouette without a scale, labels, or reference points. Enter a country name in the input field to receive its distance, direction, and proximity percentage. You have six attempts. The game is hosted on capitalle.app, a portal for geography puzzles.

How to play Earthle

Study the silhouette, paying attention to its coastline, proportions, and orientation. Enter a country name and submit it. Use the feedback after each guess—distance in kilometers, compass direction, and proximity percentage—to narrow down the next one. Continue until you identify the country or use all six attempts.

Each guess returns three data points: distance, direction, and proximity percentage. The game color-codes results—green for correct, orange for very close, yellow for lukewarm, black for far. All six result lines appear empty at the start, so you can see the format before your first try.

Use the first guess strategically

The feedback format rewards deliberate opening moves. A country central to a continent provides useful distance and direction even when wrong, letting you triangulate from there. The silhouette is not scaled to real-world size, so rely on shape and coastline rather than apparent dimensions.

Available modes

The header offers Practice and Hard modes, both marked with padlock icons. Practice allows repeated rounds without the daily constraint. Hard mode adjusts the challenge, though the exact change is not specified in the interface.

Common questions

What do the colors mean?
Green indicates the correct answer. Orange means very close. Yellow signals lukewarm. Black marks a guess that is far from the target.

How many attempts do you get?
Six. The counter in the header displays remaining guesses.

Why does the URL redirect?
The address earthle.capitalle.app redirects to capitalle.app/earthle because Earthle is part of a multi-game portal rather than a standalone site.
