What is Flagle?
Flagle is a daily flag-guessing game where you identify a hidden flag through pixel overlap. Unlike games that reveal sections randomly, Flagle shows only the pixels your guess shares with the solution. Each wrong guess still contributes visual information, turning the puzzle into a process of deduction through geometry and color matching. You have six attempts to find the correct flag.
How to play Flagle
- Open the country selector, which displays flag thumbnails by default.
- Choose a country and confirm with the GUESS button.
- Examine the frame: revealed areas mark where your guess and the solution share identical pixels.
- Use the visible pixels to deduce missing colors, patterns, and layout.
- Submit up to six guesses total, refining your answer with each attempt.
Reading the pixel feedback
The frame updates after each guess, filling only with shared pixels between your submission and the target flag. Below the frame, six rows track your attempts. A tooltip introduces hard mode, and the HOW TO PLAY section includes an illustrated example. Focus on what appears rather than what vanishes: each reveal narrows the field of possible flags.
Game modes
Flagle offers a Daily puzzle at /daily, where one flag resets each day. Enable hard mode through the tooltip to hide flag thumbnails in the country selector, forcing you to guess from memory alone. The browser preserves this setting. An infinity button in the header suggests additional practice rounds.
Strategy for faster solves
Treat guesses as tests for pattern families, not single countries. A flag with vertical bands can confirm or rule out that entire layout across multiple nations, since all flags share the same normalized format. When a guess reveals almost nothing, you have eliminated a color palette and can shift focus to a contrasting scheme. Hard mode does not alter the solution; it only removes visual aids from the selector, requiring stronger recall before you submit.
