What is Globle?
Globle is a daily geography game built around a 3D globe and a color-coded proximity system. Each day presents a mystery country. Every guess you enter is painted onto the globe in a shade that shows only how close that country is to the answer. Warmer colors mean you are closer. There are no kilometer distances, no directional arrows, and no guess counter. You spin the globe, compare the colors of your previous guesses, and narrow in until you find the correct country.
How to play Globle
- Close the help panel and click the globe to start.
- Enter a country name to make your first guess.
- The country appears on the globe colored by proximity: pale beige for far away, deep red for very close.
- Spin the globe to see your guesses and compare their colors.
- Choose the next country based on which shade looks warmest, then repeat until you find the answer.
Why play Globle
Globle teaches geographic neighborhoods better than most other geography games. By removing numerical feedback, it forces you to reason by contiguity: which country borders which, where continents begin and end, how regions connect. A well-played round leaves a visible trail of guesses tightening around the answer on the globe itself.
Reading the feedback
Color is the only clue. Each guess remains visible on the globe with its proximity shade, gradually building a heat map around the mystery country. The game tracks won games, current streak, and best streak in browser-local statistics accessible from the statistics icon at the top of the screen.
Tips for tighter hunts
Use your first guess to sweep a continent rather than aiming for precision. A country in the middle of a land mass reveals more than an isolated or edge pick.
Always compare two nearby shades by rotating the globe rather than relying on memory. The difference in warmth between neighboring countries shows which direction to take next.
If similar reds are hard to distinguish, open settings and switch the color palette. The game remembers your theme, distance unit, and palette preference.
