What is Mathdle?
Mathdle is a daily target-number game. It presents six smaller numbers and a target, then asks you to combine the available numbers with addition, subtraction, multiplication and division to reach that target. The site tracks daily difficulty and maintains separate playing and winning streaks.
How to play Mathdle
- Read the target number and the six available numbers on the board.
- Select a number, choose an operation, then select another number to create an intermediate calculation.
- Use the resulting value with the remaining numbers and operations to move closer to the target.
- Monitor the History panel as each completed calculation is recorded automatically.
- Continue building calculations until you reach the target or decide to give up.
Reading the feedback
Each completed calculation appears immediately in the History panel as a full expression and result. The two operands you used are then replaced by the calculated result on the main board, and an undo control becomes available. The interface also displays elapsed time, the daily difficulty rating, and access to Hint and Give up controls.

Tips for reaching the target
Use the History panel to track intermediate values instead of recomputing them mentally. This record helps you see which paths brought you closer to the target and which led away from it.
Reserve the operation that can make the largest correction until you know whether your target requires growth or reduction. A premature multiplication or division may lock you into a range that cannot reach the goal with remaining numbers.
Use undo after testing an unhelpful intermediate result rather than carrying it through the rest of the calculation. The undo control lets you explore multiple approaches without restarting the entire puzzle.

Streak tracking
The Mathdle home screen displays separate current playing and winning streak counters. A playing streak counts consecutive days you attempted the puzzle, while a winning streak counts consecutive days you reached the exact target.
