What is Morning Mystery?
Morning Mystery is a logic grid puzzle that rotates through five different reasoning modes each day. The setting remains constant—a caravan, a band of Seekers, and Aunt Pearl whose numbered facts are always true—but the puzzle type changes: classic grid, multi-category grid, directional map, Truth & Lie statements where each person says one truth and one falsehood, or lineup ordering.
How to play Morning Mystery
- Read the setup, then review the clues split into two sections: Aunt Pearl's ledger, which is always reliable, and the Seekers' statements.
- Tap cells in the grid to cycle through states: empty, ✗ to eliminate, ● to confirm.
- Cross out clues you have used to avoid rereading the same constraint.
- Use the notepad for text or drawings; all notes are saved for the day.
- When needed, tap ? Hint to narrow the grid or ? Ring the morning bell to submit. Hints cost time in the rankings but never block solving.

- Play for fun: Generate a puzzle on demand, choosing the difficulty and number of guests. It does not affect rankings. You can also send the same puzzle to someone else with a challenge link.
Strategy for faster solving
Focus on what each clue rules out rather than only on what it confirms. As the possibilities shrink, the answer becomes easier to identify.
In Truth & Lie mode, a clue is not a single fact but a pair of statements where exactly one is true. Aunt Pearl's numbered facts remain reliable without reservation, making them the strongest entry point.
The hint never makes the grid unsolvable. It costs time in rankings, but if leaderboards do not matter to you, there is no penalty.
The notepad accepts both text and drawings and persists for the day. On directional puzzles, a sketch is more useful than written notes.
Each puzzle can be printed. The daily packet includes sheets with the solution on the back, useful for those who prefer reasoning with pencil.
