What is Murdle?
Murdle is a daily logic-grid puzzle wrapped in a murder mystery. Each case presents suspects, weapons, locations, and clues that let you eliminate impossible combinations until only one solution remains.
How to play Murdle
- Read the case scenario and note the suspects, weapons, and locations listed.
- Work through each clue, marking impossible pairings on the deduction grid with X marks.
- Use elimination to force the remaining relationships, just as you would in a standard logic puzzle.
- Submit your final answer naming who committed the crime, with which weapon, and where.
Start with the Mini
The site directs newcomers to the daily Mini before the full case. The Mini teaches grid notation and basic elimination strategy in a shorter format. Complete it once to understand how clues translate into marks on the grid. The full Daily case requires more sustained deduction than most dle games, so it will not fit a quick habit slot.
Reading the deduction grid
The grid is your primary feedback tool. Each clue constrains relationships among suspects, weapons, and locations. Mark impossible pairs with X, and when only one possibility remains in a row or column, mark it with a check. The site offers a hint option if you reach a dead end.
Tips for solving cases
Fill in negatives first. Ruling out impossible combinations opens the grid faster than trying to guess the killer directly.
Note clues you cannot use yet. Return to them once two or three cells are locked, and they will often resolve immediately.
A clue that eliminates nothing now may become decisive after one more pass through the grid. Keep cycling through the evidence until relationships clarify.
Modes
Daily: A new full case each day.
