What is Orbis?
Orbis is a daily geography puzzle with ten questions about the world. A new set appears each day and is the same for every player. Each question awards up to 1,000 points based on accuracy.
How to play Orbis
- Open the daily puzzle or start a practice round.
- Answer each of the ten questions in sequence.
- For map questions, tap the correct country on the interactive map (drag and zoom as needed). Closer selections score higher; the distance to the true location is shown after the choice.
- For flag questions, select the matching country from the multiple-choice options.
- For compass-style questions, choose which of two places is further in the stated direction (for example, further north).
- Review the result after each answer and continue until all ten questions are finished.
- Check the final score, day streak, best score, and times played.
Question types and scoring
Map questions test location knowledge with distance-based scoring. Flag questions award full points for a correct selection. Direction questions compare relative positions of two places. The daily set mixes these formats.
Tips
Practice mode lets you try questions without affecting the daily score or streak. Keep the same browser to retain local progress. Language can be switched between English and German on the home screen.
