What is Puzzlele?

Puzzlele is a daily block fitting puzzle by Bo Isaksson. You drag polyomino pieces from a tray onto a seven by seven grid that already holds several fixed blocks. The goal is to fill the remaining space with the loose pieces. Three difficulty levels control how much of the board is pre-filled, and you get two hints plus a reset button.

How to play Puzzlele

  1. Choose a difficulty: E, M, or H. The browser remembers your last choice.
  2. Click a piece in the tray to select it.
  3. Double click the piece or press R to rotate it. The Rotate button above the tray does the same.
  4. Drag the piece onto the grid, fitting it into the space left by the fixed blocks.
  5. Use Hint 1 of 2 if you stall, or tap Reset board to clear your placements and start over.

Why the puzzle works

A compact grid, a few pre-placed blocks, and a tray of awkward polyominoes make each puzzle different. There is no timer, score, or streak to add pressure. The headline shows the puzzle’s date, which changes daily, and your browser remembers the difficulty you last selected.

Puzzlele gives you two hints. Before either is used, the button reads “Hint 1 of 2.” The Reset board button is dimmed when the grid is still fresh. Beyond those controls, the feedback is spatial: a piece either fits the hole or it does not.

The E, M, and H buttons above the board select the three difficulty levels. The browser stores your last choice.

Rotate a piece before dragging it. Selecting, turning, and placing are separate gestures, and pressing R is quicker than reaching for the Rotate button.

The blocks already on the grid are part of the puzzle. The hole they leave is the exact shape you need to fill with the pieces in the tray.
