What is TerraeQuest?
TerraeQuest is a daily geography game that tests statistical knowledge rather than map recognition. Each question names a real-world indicator, displays six countries as flag cards, and asks you to select the one with the highest value, lowest value, or exact value that meets the target.
How to play TerraeQuest
- Open the daily puzzle from the home screen.
- Read the indicator and its definition below the question, including the unit.
- Tap a country flag card to reveal its exact value.
- Keep selecting cards until you find the country that meets the criterion: highest value, lowest value, or an exact target.
- Check the result panel for the answer, your performance, XP, stars, and how you compare with other players.
- Tap “Next challenge” to continue through the daily sequence.
Modes
Daily puzzle
A series of country-comparison questions. Each round shows six flag cards and asks you to find the highest, lowest, or exact value. The game moves to the next challenge after you complete the round.
Weekly Survival
You get one attempt each week, with the game resetting every Wednesday. You start with ten lives. A wrong answer or timeout costs one life, and you cannot retry until the next reset.
Read the unit before choosing a card.
The game prints the unit and issuing body in italics directly under the question. Per capita values reverse many rankings compared to absolute totals. A country with a high total may rank low when divided by population. Check whether the indicator measures people, dollars, percentages, or rates before looking at the flags.
Tips for better results
Do not open Weekly Survival unless you have time to focus. The mode allows one attempt until the Wednesday reset, and a timeout costs a life exactly like a wrong answer.
Each selected flag card reveals its exact value immediately. Use this feedback to narrow the field. If your first pick shows a mid-range number and the question asks for the maximum, eliminate similar-sized countries and test the remaining options.
The result panel includes links to Wikipedia and Google Maps for the correct answer. Use these references to understand why a country ranked where it did, especially when the outcome surprises you.
The game tracks progress locally in your browser. Keep using the same browser to retain your level, XP, and league standings. Leaderboard and Leagues appear in the header if you want to compare scores.
