What is Actorle?
Actorle is a daily film guessing game that presents an actor's career as a redacted filmography. Each entry shows the release year, genre tags, and IMDb score, but the film titles are hidden behind crosses. An age range appears above the list. The core mechanic: guess any actor who starred in one of those films, and that film's title is revealed. Keep guessing co-stars to uncover more titles until you can identify the actor who made the entire list.
How to play Actorle
Before guessing, examine the visible metadata. The years show the career span, the genres suggest the actor’s roles, and IMDb scores help distinguish prestige projects from commercial work.
Enter an actor’s name in the search field. If that actor appeared in a listed film, the title is revealed. Use the titles to place the career in time and narrow the possibilities until one actor fits the filmography. The age indicator above the list can rule out anyone too young to have made the earliest film.
Keep guessing co-stars to reveal more titles, or submit the target actor to solve the puzzle.
Why the reveal mechanic works
A wrong answer still gives you information. Naming a co-star instead of the target can reveal a title, reshape the board, and point you toward the answer. The game rewards knowing who worked with whom as well as recalling individual films. The visible metadata begins to sketch a career arc: a run of eighties action films followed by nineties dramas forms a recognizable pattern before any title appears. You are piecing together a filmography from connected clues.
Feedback and clues
Two channels. Naming the correct actor ends the game. Naming any co-star from a listed film reveals that film’s title, which gives you another film to use in the search. The unredacted metadata stays the same, so you can quickly see the actor’s career range. The age bracket narrows the field by ruling out anyone who could not have made the earliest or latest film.

Actorle offers five formats. Daily Challenge presents one actor per day, with past games stored in an archive. Fill The Grid is a grid variant with its own archive. Storyboard is a visual mode, also archived. StarWords uses the same film knowledge in a word-based format and keeps an archive. Board Game is a physical version available from the menu.
Strategy for efficient solving
Spend early guesses on prolific character actors before committing to your best theory about the target. A supporting player who appears in three listed films reveals three titles at once. Genre chips remain useful over time: a run of Action and Adventure films in the eighties followed by Drama in the nineties can signal a career transition. Prioritize co-stars from the highest-rated films. Those casts are easiest to recall and most likely to unlock titles that define the actor's career.
