What is Castme?
Castme is a daily film guessing game that hides a movie and reveals only its cast list. You see actor names one by one and must identify the film before running out of guesses. The board shows the day number, a partial cast list with question marks for hidden names, and an input field with six attempts. An empty guess reveals the next actor without consuming a try.
How to play Castme
Read the film and actor names already visible on the board, then check how many slots remain hidden. Enter a film title in the input field and submit it as your guess. You have six attempts.
If you do not recognize an actor, submit an empty guess to reveal the next name without using an attempt. Completing the puzzle unlocks a shareable result and a statistics panel with your success rate, guess distribution, streaks, and badges.
Identifying a film by its cast tests a rarely exercised memory for supporting roles. The first names that appear are not necessarily the leads, which makes deduction more interesting because a minor actor can place a period, a studio, or a director who works with the same ensemble. The empty guess gives the game an unusual rhythm: you can choose to wait for more information before committing, and that patience costs nothing but curiosity.
Reading the feedback
The board provides the clues. Each incorrect answer adds another name, while “Guesses left” counts down from six. There is no color coding; the only feedback is the new name that appears. When you finish, the game shows a shareable summary and a statistics panel with your success rate, guess distribution, streaks, badges, and archive progress.
