What is Marveldle?
Marveldle is a character-deduction game for Marvel comics and MCU fans. You name a character and receive a comparison row showing gender, type, species, power types, origin and first-appearance year. The game offers separate Comics and MCU tracks for both Guess the Character and Fantastic Grid modes.
How to play Marveldle
- Choose a Guess the Character mode from the Comics or MCU menu.
- Enter a character’s name and select a matching result from the autocomplete suggestions.
- Submit your guess and check the six-column comparison: gender, type, species, power types, origin, and first-appearance year.
- Use the five-color feedback system to narrow down the answer. Purple and blue arrows show whether a numeric value is higher or lower than the target.
- As you make more guesses, you unlock clues at set thresholds. These include quote, comic, description, and name hints.
Reading the feedback
Each guess adds a six-column row. Green means every element is correct. Orange means at least one element is missing or incorrect. Red means there is no match. Purple means the answer is higher, while blue means it is lower. The clue buttons show how many guesses remain before each clue unlocks: Quote after four guesses, Comic after seven, Description after eleven, and Name after fourteen.
Keep the comics and MCU continuities separate
Marveldle divides its content into Comics and MCU tracks. This structure benefits players who know one continuity much better than the other. Both versions follow the same comparison logic, but each maintains its own character database and daily target. The Fantastic Grid option also splits into Comics and MCU routes, though grid-specific rules were not reviewed here.
Tips for efficient guessing
Choose well-documented characters for your opening guesses so all six comparison columns return useful information. Distinguish categorical matches from numeric direction: greater and lower arrows apply only to year-based comparisons, while the other cells test attribute overlap.
Exhaust your guessing attempts before spending a clue. The staged reveal system counts down explicitly, and each unlocked hint costs a fixed number of guesses. Categorical feedback often narrows the field faster than a single descriptive prompt.
