What is Plot-Hole?
Plot-Hole is a film guessing game that presents five synopsis sentences in reverse order of specificity. You start at clue 5, the vaguest, and work down to clue 1, the most explicit. Your score is the clue number at which you identify the film: five points for guessing at clue 5, one point at clue 1, zero if you exhaust all five without finding it. Each clue carries a narrative label showing where you are in the film's structure, and a live stat bar displays what percentage of players solved it at that tier.
How to play
- Read clue 5, which awards the maximum five points.
- Type your guess into the field and submit.
- If wrong, that title appears struck through in red beside the clue where you used it, and your score drops one point.
- Use SKIP (−1 PT) to reveal the next clue without guessing.
- Check the stat line under each clue to see what share of today's players had already solved it at that stage.
The scoring mechanic
Your score is not a count of attempts but the tier at which you committed. A wrong guess costs exactly what a skip costs: one point. This parity encourages guessing over waiting, which creates tension at every tier. The narrative labels—exposition, conflict, resolution—tell you where the plot is heading, and the percentage bar gives a live benchmark for difficulty.

Tips for higher scores
A failed guess and a skip both cost one point. If you have a plausible title, submit it rather than skip: at equal cost, a guess offers a path to the answer.
The narrative labels are structural clues. When you move from exposition to conflict, the next sentence will address the film's crux rather than its setting.
The player-share line is a barometer. A sharp jump between tiers marks the pivot clue of the day.
Streak freezes protect your streak when you miss a day. You earn one every fourteen puzzles, plus tier bonuses. Backing up your account by email grants one additional freeze.
